Lawyer Barred From Sexual Offence Cases

A lawyer who referred to a 13 year old sex attack victim as a predator, has been barred from sexual offence cases whilst his conduct is under review. During a hearing at Snaresbrook Crown Court in East London, Robert Colover, referring to the victim, said “The girl is predatory in all her actions and she is sexually experienced”.

Judge Nigel Peters QC, hearing the case, was happy to impose a suspended sentence saying he had taken into account the fact the 13 year old looked older than she was and told Wilson: “On these facts (that were put before the court), the girl was predatory and was egging you on.” 41 year old pedophile Neil Wilson was given an 8-month suspended sentence.

The Crown Prosecution Service are now considering the involvement of the barrister in any future sexual offence cases.
